Heard learned counsel for petitioner and learned Standing Counsel for the respondents.

It has been submitted by learned counsel for petitioner that the petitioner is working on the post of Sub-Inspector Civil Police at Lucknow and two years are remaining for his superannuation and submits that accordingly, grant for guidelines for the Session 2024-25. It has been provided that the government servant may be considered for posting near his hometown and accordingly, a representation has been made by the petitioner for his transfer to Kanpur.

After arguing the matter at some length, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the grievance of the petitioner shall be substantially redressed, in case the opposite party no.2 is directed to consider and decide the representation dated 03.08.2024 expeditiously.

Learned Standing Counsel does not object to the prayer made by petitioner.

Accordingly, the present writ petition is disposed of with direction to opposite party no.2 i.e. Additional Director General of Police (Establishment), D.G.P. Headquarter, Lucknow to consider and decide the representation of the petitioner for his transfer for Kanpur expeditiously, say, within a period of four weeks from the date of production of certified copy of this order before him by reasoned and speaking order in accordance with law.
