Heard learned counsel for the petitioners, learned A.G.A. for the State and perused the record.

This writ petition has been filed with a prayer to issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of certiorari for quashing the First Information Report dated 26.07.2024, bearing Case Crime No.0263/2024, under Sections 323, 506, 498-A IPC and Section 3/4 D.P. Act, 1961, Police Station - Aashiyana, District - Lucknow , Commissionerate, Lucknow.

It has been argued by the learned counsel for the petitioners that the marriage between petitioner No.1 and the daughter of the informant/respondent No.4 was solemnized two years prior. He further argued that after marriage, some dispute arose between the petitioner No.1 and his wife, on account of which, the impugned F.I.R. has been lodged by respondent No.4 with absolutely false, concocted, vague and sweeping allegations against him that they were demanding dowry from her and her parents and on account of non-fulfillment of the alleged demands of dowry, she was being tortured and maltreated by him in her matrimonial home. He further argued that the present matter be referred to Mediation & Conciliation Centre of this Court being matrimonial in nature as there are chances of compromise between the parties.

Learned counsel for the petitioners to show his bonafide offers to pay Rs.1.00 Lakh to his wife (daughter of informant/respondent No.4) within ten days through demand draft drawn in favour of the daughter of informant/respondent No.4.

In view of the above, list this case on 21st August, 2024, amongst top ten cases in the list.
