Heard Sri Ajay Kumar holding brief of Ms. Durga Singh, learned counsel for the petitioner and Sri Abhishek Shukla, learned Additional Chief Standing Counsel for the State respondents.
The present petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent no.2 to decide Case No. T201802030902213 of 2018 (Ram Chandra vs. Gram Panchayat and others), under Section 24 of U.P. Revenue Code, 2006 within a stipulated time period.
Counsel for the petitioner has referred to the order sheet of the case, a copy whereof has been placed on record to submit that despite several dates having being fixed, the matter is being adjourned for some reason or the other. Accordingly, a prayer for expediting the proceeding is made.
Learned Standing Counsel for the State-Respondents has no objection to the prayer made.
Having regard to the aforementioned facts and circumstances and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, the present petition is disposed of with an observation that the court below would make an endeavor to decide the aforesaid case in accordance with law, expeditiously preferably within a period of three months from the date of production of certified copy of the instant order, without granting any unnecessary adjournments to either of the parties, provided there is no other legal impediment.
