Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel.

Present writ petition has been preferred for following reliefs:-

"A. Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of writ of mandamus commanding the respondents to ensure payment of insured amount of Rs.5 lacs to the petitioner under the 'Mukhyamantri Krishak Durghatana Kalyan Yojana' within stipulated time to be fixed by this Hon'ble Court with market rate of interest.

B. Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent no.2 to decide the representation dated 21.9.2022 moved by the petitioner before respondent no.2/District Magistrate, Jaunpur expeditiously within stipulated period as fixed by this Hon'ble Court."

This much is contended that the husband of the petitioner died in a road accident on 21.1.2022. She submitted a claim along with all relevant documents before respondent no.3 for according compensation under the Mukhyamantri Krishak Durghatana Kalyan Yojana (in short "the Scheme in question") on 31.1.2022. Once no heed was paid, she again made applications to respondent no.2 on 21.9.2022 and 9.8.2023 for compensation under the Scheme in question. It is contended that inspite of lapse of more than one and a half year, the claim of the petitioner has not been addressed and as such this Court may come for rescue and reprieve of the petitioner.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, without expressing any opinion on merits of the issue and with the consent, the writ petition stands disposed of asking respondent no.2District Magistrate, Jaunpur to look into, examine and redress the grievance of the petitioner strictly in accordance with law expeditiously.
