Rejoinder affidavit filed by learned counsel for petitioner today in Court is taken on record.

Heard Mr. Anand Kumar Pandey, the learned counsel for petitioners and the learned standing counsel representing respondents.

Petitioners, who are five in number, have approached this Court for a writ of mandamus commanding respondent-2, U. P. Police Recruitment and Promotion Board, Lucknow to declare the result of the petitioners upto 2011, ranker examination for the post of SubInspector of Civil Police on the basis of marks awarded to the petitioners and also declaring them selected with all consequential benefits.

Present writ petition came up for admission on 18.02.2022 and this Court passed the following order:

"Place this case as a fresh case on 8.3.2022.

On that date learned counsel for the petitioners may see whether any further argument is to be made in view of the order passed by the Supreme Court dated 2.12.2020 passed in Special Leave to Appeal (C) No(S). 28838 of 2019 (Satyabrat Chaudhary & Ors vs. State of U.P. & Others).

Pursuant to aforesaid order, learned Standing Counsel has filed a counter affidavit. On the basis of recital contained In the counter affidavit he submits that petitioners have raised their claim for appointment on the post of Sub-Inspector on the ground that they stand selected in the recruitment examination., which was held in year 2011. He however contends that the claim of petitioners is hopelessly barred by latches inasmuch as a period of more than 10 years has rolled by since the advertisement in question was issued. He has then referred to the order dated 10.08.2015 passed by Supreme Court in Special Leave to Appeal No. 28838 of 2019 (Satyabrat Chaudhary & Ors vs. State of U.P. & Others), which is contained in Annexure C.A-2 to the counter affidavit as well as the order dated 12.12.2020 also passed by the Apex Court in which Writ Petition (Civil) No. 1369 of 2018 (Arvind Kumar Tewari Vs. State of U.P. and others) which is on record as Annexure C.A.-3 to the counter affidavit, where by Apex Court has itself restrained the High Court to entertain any matter relating to above mentioned advertisement.

On the basis of above, learned Standing counsel contends that no relief can be granted to petitioners at such belated stage.

When confronted with above, the learned counsel for petitioner could not over come the same.

Having heard learned counsel for petitioners and learned Standing Counsel representing respondents coupled with the facts as noted above, this Court does not

find any good or justifiable ground to entertain this writ petition.

Present writ petition fails and is liable to be dismissed.

It is accordingly dismissed.
