Sri Rajendra Kumar Mishra learned counsel appearing for the respondent Nos.1 & 2 submits that the One Time Settlement Scheme (OTS) is in vogue in the department, benefit of which can be granted to the applicant uptill 31.03.2021. It is submitted that the petitioner has applied for settlement of his liability under the OTS scheme which has been considered by the competent authority namely respondent No.2 and a revised bill has been sent to the petitioner. No deposits, however, have been made till date.
Learned counsel for the petitioner, however, disputes the said submission on the ground that the claim of the petitioner for settlement under OTS scheme has not been decided by the respondent. It is stated that the deposits made by the petitioner towards the electricity charges have also not been adjusted while preparing the revised bill.
In view of the above, the writ petition is being disposed of with the direction that the petitioner may approach the respondent No.2 namely Executive Engineer, Vidyut Vitran Khand Naubasta, Kanpur Nagar raising his grievances with regard to the revised bill provided to him, alongwith the copy of this order within a period of three weeks from today.
In case, such an application is filed, the respondent No.2 would be under obligation to take an expeditious decision, in accordance with law, dealing with all points of objections raised by the petitioner. A further revision of bill, if needed, shall be done in accordance with law.
