Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and Shri Diwakar Singh for the Gaon Sabha as also learned Standing counsel for the State-respondents.

The petition has been filed seeking the following relief-

"a) to issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent no.2/ Sub Divisional Magistrate, Soraon, District Prayagraj to decide the Case No.T-201802030303943 of 2017, U/s 24 Revenue Act, (Jitendra Narayan and others Verses Jitendra Narayan and others), of village Meerjahanpur, Pargana Nawabganj, Tehsil Soraon, District Prayagraj, pending before him, within stipulated period which Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper."

The petitioner is aggrieved because of non disposal of the application under Section 24 of the U.P. Revenue Code, 2006 for demarcation, which is stated to be pending since October 2018.

Under the circumstances, this writ petition is disposed of directing the respondent no.2/ Sub Divisional Magistrate, Soraon, District Prayagraj to endeavour to decide the mutation case of the petitioner, expeditiously, preferably within a period of six months from the date a certified copy of this order is filed before him.
