Learned counsel for the parties are ad idem that the issues raised in this petition shall stand governed by the order of disposal passed in Writ -C No. 23248 of 2018 (Genda Lal Vs.
State of U.P. And Another) . The said order reads thus:
" Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel.
The sole prayer made on this petition is for the issuance of Form A-1 to enable the petitioner to apply for grant of a fresh firearm licence. It is not disputed that under the Arms Act, the licensing authority is the District Magistrate.
Learned Standing Counsel states that the petitioner may be asked to approach the Collector in this regard.
In view thereof, this petition shall stand disposed of with a direction to the second respondent herein to instruct the competent authority to make available to the petitioner the requisite form within a period of three weeks from the date of moving of an application along with a certified copy of this order."
Accordingly and with the consent of parties, this petition shall
stand disposed of on similar terms.
