The instant writ petition is directed against the order dated 2.9.2016 whereby the Northern Regional Committee of National Council For Teacher Education (NCTE) has rejected the application of the petitioner institution for grant of recognition to run D.El.Ed. Course and the order dated 13.2.2017, by which the Appeal Committee of NCTE has rejected the appeal.

Sri Dhananjay Awasthi, learned counsel appearing on behalf of NCTE submitted that apart from the reasons disclosed in the impugned order rejecting the request for grant of recognition to run D.El.Ed. course in the academic session 2016-17, the said application could not be considered at the present moment as the academic session 2016-17 is over long back. He further submitted that in case any fresh application is filed, it would be considered in accordance with law.

Counsel for the petitioner states that the petitioner would file a fresh application seeking recognition within one month.

In view of the above, without going into the validity of the impugned orders, the instant writ petition is disposed of by providing that in case fresh application is filed by the petitioner institution seeking recognition for D.El. Ed. Course, the same shall be processed in accordance with law without being influenced by the impugned orders.
