Petitioner has applied for appointment to the post of Constable in U.P. Police. His grievance is that though he has passed NCC and has been issued 'B' certificate, but benefit of such certificate has not been extended to him; in as much as, in case petitioner is granted benefit of such certificate, then he would be entitled to be called in the next round of selection.
Petitioner has also represented, in this regard, but no action has been taken.
Learned standing counsel submits that the recruitment is already over and that the petitioner scored marks below the cut off in the respective category.
Without interfering into the respective claim of the petitioner, on merits, it would be appropriate to permit the petitioner to represent in the matter before the respondent no. 2, along with certified copy of this order, within two weeks from today. Petitioner may also annex all material in support of his claim.
In case such representation is made, the Board shall have the grievance of the petitioner examined, in accordance with the terms of the advertisement as also recruitment rules, and take necessary decision, as may be warranted in law, within a further period of two months.
All consequential action shall be taken, accordingly.
With the observation, aforesaid, the petition stands disposed of.
