This appeal was presented against the against the judgment and order of conviction dated 17.3.1998 passed in Criminal Trial Case No.61 of 1996 (State vs. Jang Bahadur Singh) under Section-20 N.D.P.S. Act, passed by X Additional Session Judge, Varanasi, whereby rigorous imprisonment for five years coupled with fine was imposed on the appellant.
Chief Judicial Magistrate, Varanasi has informed vide his letter dated 12.12.2017 that sole appellant, Jang Bahadur Singh s/o Lakshmi Narain Singh has expired.
In view of above, the instant appeal qua appellant, Jang Bahadur Singh stands abated.
The instant appeal is dismissed as such.
