Section 2. Definitions

2. In this Act,-

(a) Commission means the Uttar Pradesh State Commission for Women constituted under section 3;

(b) Member means a member of the Commission;

(c) Other backward classes of citizens means such classes of citizens as are defied in clause (b) of section 2 of the Uttar Pradesh Public Services (Reservation for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes) Act, 1994;

(d) Women includes female child or adolescent girl.
