Section 10. The Chancellor

(1) The Governor of the Uttar Pradesh shall be the Chancellor of the University.

(2) The Chancellor shall, by virtue of this office, be the head of the University and the Chairman of the Court and, if present preside over the meetings of the court and at any convocation of the University.

(3) Every proposal of the conferment of honorary degree shall require the approval of the Chancellor.

(4) It shall be duty of the Vice-Chancellor to furnish such information or records relating to administration of the University as the Chancellor may call for.

(5) The Chancellor shall have such other powers as may be prescribed.
