Pursuant to the Court's order dated 02.07.2025, the State filed a progress report dated 01.08.2025 showing that after investigation a final report had been submitted against respondent nos. 4, 5 & 6. This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner-informant for the following reliefs:- “(A) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the respondent authorities, including the police to produce the progress report and action taken against respondent nos.4, 5 & 6 against whom overwhelming evidence exists regarding their role in abetting the suicide of the deceased Sudhir Kumar, and further threatening the witness to do compromise further ensure strict compliance with the law in taking appropriate action against them. (B) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent State authorities to transfer the investigation of FIR No.0012 of 2025 registered at Police Station Jhabreda, District Haridwar to an independent investigative agency, such as the Crime Branch (CB) or Crime Investigation Department (CID), to ensure a free, fair and unbiased investigation into the matter. (C) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent investigative agency to secure and analyze all available evidence, including the deceased’s recorded video statement and eyewitness testimonies and to take immediate steps for forensic examination and electronic preservation of crucial materials related to the case. (D) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus, directing the respondent authorities to ensure that no under influence or pressure is exerted on the investigation, and that all legal proceedings against the accused are carried out strictly in accordance with law without any interference.” 4. progress report of the investigation. 5. Today, learned State Counsel passed on the progress report dated 01.08.2025 to this Court, which is taken on record. 6. According to the progress report submitted by the police, after investigation, final report has been submitted against the respondent nos.4, 5 & 6. 7. So far as prayer no.B of the petitioner is concerned, since the investigation has been concluded and the final report has been submitted, such relief cannot be granted to the petitioner. 8. Since the final report has been filed after investigation, nothing survives in the writ petition. Accordingly, the writ petition is hereby closed. 9.
