| WPCRL No. 399 of 2022 Hon’ble S.K. Mish r a, ACJ. Hon’ble R.C. Kh u lbe, J. Mr. Rajveer Singh, the learned counsel for the petitioner. Mr. J.S. Virk, the learned Dy. Advocate General for respondent no. 1 Heard learned counsel for the parties. In the present case, marriage of petitioner with respondent no. 2 was solemnized on 29.04.2014. After few days of marriage, respondent no. 2 used to harass the petitioner mentally and sexually and compelled her to adopt the prostitution profession. At present petitioner is residing at her parental house. Respondent no. 2 is extending life threats to the petitioner. The petitioner approached to the Senior Superintendent of Police, Haridwar, by way of representation for protection of her life but in vain. Hence, she approach this Court for protection of her life. In that view of the matter, we hereby dispose of the writ petition by directing the Senior Superintendent of Police, Haridwar, to take decision on the representation of the petitioner 02.02.2022 within 21 days from today. Senior Superintendent of Police, Haridwar, shall take information and intelligence from the concerned SHO during the course of the day. In the interregnum, the concerned SHO shall provide adequate protection to the petitioner. Petition stands disposed of accordingly. Let a free copy of this order be immediately handed over to Shri J.S. Virk, the learned Dy. Advocate General for early compliance. |
