Learned counsel for the petitioner very fairly submits upon instruction that he does not want to press writ petition in its present form as application for compounding made by the petitioner has been dismissed by the respondentsauthority. As such, this petition may not be very meritorious. He submits that no copy of such order rejecting the compounding application has been supplied to the petitioner. Taking note of the submission, I dismiss the present writ petition as not being pressed.
I direct the respondents-authority to supply certified copy of the order rejecting the compounding application within fortnight from the date of communication of this order. On receipt of said order, it would be open to the petitioner to take steps in accordance with law as may be
advised. Therefore, I direct the parties to maintain status quo as on today vis-à-vis building in question for a period of four weeks from date. On expiry of four weeks, the respondents-authority will be free to take action in accordance with law, of course, they are not restrained by the competent court of law. All points are kept open.
