This is an application under Section 439 Cr.P.C. read with Section 37 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act for granting bail to the accused namely, Sri Laxman Debnath, who has been detained in custody since 21.07.2017 in connection with P.R. Bari P.S. Case No.48 of 2017 under Sections 20(b)(ii)(c) of the NDPS Act.
With the assistance of the learned Addl. Public Prosecutor, I have carefully gone through the Case Diary produced by him and examination thereof, I am of the view that this is not a fit case for bail at this stage.
Consequently, the bail application is rejected.
