Petition under Adicle 226 of the Constitution of lndia praying that in the circumstances stated in the affidavit filed therewith, the High Court may be pleased to issue a writ or order or direction, especially one in the nature of Writ of Mandamus:

i) declare the action of the 2nd respondent in compelling the petitioners to pay enhanced rent of Rs.2,500/- on oral instructions and further action of the 2nd respondent in seeking to evict the petitioners without following due process of law as " illegal and arbitrary

ii) consequently direct the 2nd respondent to fix a fair rent and not to compel the petitioner to pay the enhanced rent on oral instructions and not to evict the petjtioners without following due process of law
