This writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking a direction to the Respondents 3 to 5 to submit the petitioner’s verification and entitlement report to the 1^st respondent in revised check list for sanction of freedom fighters pension by placing before the 2^nd respondent’s committee to sanction freedom fighters pension to the petitioner on par with similarly situated persons.

2. Heard Sri K.Chinna Baba, leaned counsel for the petitioner and Sri B.Narayana Reddy, learned Assistant Solicitor General appearing for Union of India and the learned Government Pleader appearing for Respondents 3 to 5, apart from perusing the material available on record.

When the matter is taken up today, the learned Government Pleader, appearing for Respondents 3 to 5 has placed on record the reports dated 4.8.2010, 6.8.2010 and 17.8.2010 submitted by the Tahsildar, Vatsavai, Revenue Divisional Officer, Vijayawada and the District Collector, Krishna at Machilipatnam, respectively. Basing on the report submitted by the Tahsildar vide proceedings RCA.No.213/2010 dated 4.8.2010, the Revenue Divisional Officer, Vijayawada vide Proceedings Rc.A4/2309/2010 dated 6.8.2010 forwarded the said recommendation along with records to the District Collector, Krishna at Machilipatnam. Subsequently vide proceedings D.Dis.No.C6/646/M/2010 dated 17.8.2010 , the District Collector, Krishna addressed a letter to the Principal Secretary to the State Government, forwarding the said recommendations for taking necessary action in the matter.

4. In view of the above developments, this Court is inclined to dispose of the writ petition, directing the 3^rd respondent State

Government to forward the re-verification report to the Union of India within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. If any such re-verification report is forwarded within the time stipulated above, the 1^st respondent shall take appropriate action on the same for grant of pension to the petitioner, in accordance with law within a period of three months thereafter.

5. The writ petition is accordingly disposed of. As a sequel, the miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
