compensation was fixed at the rate of Rs.7,000/- per acre under Ex.P-4. It is also stated that the villages of Veltoor and Chinnamaroor are towards South of Koppunoor village, and for the acquired lands of said villages also, the reference Court has enhanced the compensation to Rs.7,000/- per acre under Exs.P-2 and P-3. Further, PWs.3 to 5, in their evidence, have stated that for the lands in the surrounding villages of Chellepad, Chinnamaroor, Veltoor and Jetprole, which were acquired through the notifications issued during the same period, compensation was fixed at the rate of Rs.7,000/- per acre. It is also to be noticed that the Government has issued orders in G.O.Ms.No.234, dated 15.10.1993, settling the claims for compensation for the lands acquired from various villages which came under submergence in Srisailam Project, fixing the compensation at the rate of Rs.7,000/- per acre for dry lands, Rs.9,000/- per acre for unauthorized wet lands and Rs.11,000/- per acre for wet lands, and in that view of the matter and having regard to the oral and documentary evidence on record, we are of the view that as the lands of appellant/claimants are situated at Koppunoor village, they are also entitled for compensation at the rate of Rs.7,000/- per acre.
