As the grievance of the petitioners in all these Writ Petitions is common, they are heard and being disposed of together.

The petitioners in these Writ Petitions claimed to have purchased plots which are found to be part of ceiling surplus lands under the provisions of the Urban Land (Ceiling and Regulation) Act, 1976. In pursuance of G.O.Ms.No.747, Revenue (UC.I) Department, 18.06.2008 and G.O.Ms.No.1480, Revenue (UC.I) Department, dated 11.12.2008, the petitioners applied for regularisation of their plots. Their grievance is that these applications are not being considered and disposed of.

At the hearing, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Revenue (Assignments), on instructions, submitted that some rival claimants have filed certain Writ Petitions in respect of Survey Nos.588 to 591. She has, however, conceded that the lands in respect of which the petitioners sought regularisation are situated in Survey Nos.522 of Old Alwal, Alwal Municipality, Malkajgiri Mandal, Ranga Reddy District.

Inasmuch as the Survey numbers in respect of which the third parties filed Writ Petitions are different from the one for which the petitioners are seeking regularisation, I do not find any reason for the respondents in not considering the petitioners’ applications for regularisation.

For the above-mentioned reasons, the respondents are directed to process the petitioners’ applications, take a decision thereon and communicate the same to the petitioners within a period of two

months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. As a sequel to the disposal of the Writ Petitions, W.P.M.P.Nos.33315, 33320 and 33376 of 2013 are disposed of as infructuous.
