This matter has been initiated pursuant to the letter written by number of persons, who are local residents of the area. In that letter, serious allegations of illegal acts and activities in the running of a school have been made. Several representations were made to the authorities concerned. But, no action has been taken.
Under the circumstances, we direct the Collector, East Godavari District, Kakinada to enquire into the allegations made in the representation of one Vittanala Vishnu Murthy, dated 13.3.2013. The Collector himself will enquire into the matter and find out whether the running of the school is lawful or not and whether the allegations made in the complaint are true. If the Collector finds that illegality has been committed by the school management in running of the school and setting up of the school, then he shall ensure that all lawful remedial measures are taken to
prevent such illegalities committed in the school. We also direct the registry to forward a copy of the representation dated 13.3.2013, which has been made in vernacular language and also the other complaints to the Collector to enable him to enquire into the same and to take necessary steps. This exercise shall be completed by the Collector within a period of ten weeks from the date of communication of a copy of this order. The Public Interest Litigation is accordingly disposed of.
