Petition under Sections 437 & 439 of Cr.P.C., praying that in the circumstances stated in the memorandum of grounds filed herein, the High Court may be pleased to enlarge the petitioner on bail in pursuance of Crime No.456 of 2013 of P.S, L.B. Nagar, Cyberabad.

The petitioner is said to be a citizen interested in eradicating corruption among police officers. He involved himself in crime relating to the offences under Section 435 IPC and Sections 3, and 4 of PD PP Act. While the incident occurred on 18.4.201, the petitioner was arrested on 20.4.2013.

The petitioner has been in jail for over a period of 45 days. The learned Public Prosecutor submitted that 9 witnesses were examined by the investigating agency and that the petitioner has been in the habit of blackmailing police officials. In view of the nature of the allegations levelled against the petitioner, I consider it appropriate to enlarge the petitioner on bail. However, I deem it appropriate to enlarge the petitioner on bail on terms only.

Accordingly, this Criminal Petition is allowed. The petitioner is enlarged on bail on a personal bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand Only) with two sureties in a likesum to the

satisfaction of II Metropolitan Magistrate at L.B.Nagar, Cyberabad. After his release, the petitioner shall appear before the S.H.O, L. B. Nagar Police Station on every Monday, Wednesday and Friday between 10.00 AM and 6.00 PM for a period of three months.
