ORDER:
Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner/A-1 and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor representing the State.
This criminal petition is filed under Section 438 of the Code of Criminal Procedure seeking anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
The petitioner/A-1 is the government teacher. It is alleged that he and his wife on the pretext of proving government jobs, received an amount of Rs.2,40,000/- from the de facto complainant, but failed to provide any employment to him and his wife. When the de facto complainant insisted for jobs, the petitioner executed the promissory note for an amount ofRs.2,00,000/and gave a cheque for an amount of Rs.40,000/-. Subsequently, the cheque issued by the petitioner was dishonored.
Since the allegations attract the offence punishable under Section 420 of IPC, I am not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
Hence, the petition is dismissed.
