This Contempt Case is filed alleging willful disobedience of order dated 19-10-2012 in W.P.No.33529/2012.

Having regard to the serious controversy as to whether the petitioner has resubmitted his application which was returned on 19-1-2011, the learned counsel for the petitioner fairly submitted that his client may be permitted to file fresh applications for renewal of the licences.

The learned Government Pleader for Civil Supplies stated that if such fresh applications are filed, they will be considered and disposed of within reasonable time.

In view of the above submissions of the learned counsel for the parties, this Court is of the view that it is not a fit case for proceeding further in contempt against the respondents. However, if the petitioner files fresh applications for renewal, the respondents shall consider them, take appropriate decision and communicate the same to the petitioner within one month from the date of making such applications.

Subject to the above directions, the Contempt Case is closed.
