appearing for the respondents submitted that one Mulagani Nagamalleswara Reddy lodged a complaint on 22.02.2012 before the fourth respondent that on the said date, one unknown offender entered into his house and committed theft of gold ornaments and cell phone and thereby, he requested the fourth respondent to take action. It is further submitted that based on the said complaint, a case in Crime No.20 of 2012 was registered for the offences punishable under Sections 457 and 380 IPC against unknown offender and the investigation was taken up. It is further submitted that during the course of investigation, 13 witnesses were examined and it came to light that the petitioner has pledged some gold articles with one Valiveti Siva Prasada Rao/pawn broker and also State Bank of India, Chinnaganjam Branch. It is further submitted that in view of suspicion on the petitioner and possibility of involvement of the petitioner in the aforesaid crime, investigation is being done and the fourth respondent visited the house of the petitioner for the purpose of investigation on 22.02.2012 and found him absent in the house. It is also submitted that except conducting investigation, the petitioner is not detained in the police station as alleged and the allegations of the petitioner are false and he filed this Writ Petition for the
