7492 premises have been surveyed, out of which 1067 RWHS are found constructed by the consumers and the amounts collected from them will be adjusted in their future water cess bills. Further, 1785 premises are found not possible to construct the RWHS as no clear area is available for construction and therefore the amounts collected from them will be adjusted in their future water cess bills, but the penalty for not constructing RWHS has to be levied from 1785 RWHS premises owners under the Andhra Pradesh Water, Land and Trees Act, 2002 (for short, ‘the Act’), for which the concerned authority will be informed to take necessary action. Out of balance of 4640 RWHS, 2320 RWHS have been constructed by the Board spending an amount of Rs.1.99 crores and the construction in the remaining premises is in progress and will be completed within a period of two months with a cost of around Rs.2.00 crores. The amount to be adjusted in the future will be around Rs.2.80 crores. The survey of remaining 15,583 cases is under progress and the entire work is being reviewed every week on Monday by the Managing Director of the Board with all concerned officials and that a time-bound programme has been formulated to complete the balance construction before June, 2013. It is further stated that the Board has taken a decision not to release water supply connection to the consumer, unless and until the he constructs RWHS on his/its own as required under the Act.
