On 14-02-2007 a premises, Balamurugan Traders, Pery Veedhi, Tirupati, was inspected and the specified stock of essential commodities (pulses) was found stored. On allegation that the petitioner is pursuing business without having a licence under the AP Scheduled Commodities Control (Licensing and Distribution) Order 1982 (‘the 1982 Control Order’); and that there was a variation in the ground stocks as compared to the stock register and bill books, the commodities were seized, a mediators report recorded and proceedings under Sec.6-A of the Essential Commodities Act,1955 scheduled to be initiated. On 19-02-2007 the petitioner submitted a representation to the 2^nd respondent for interim release of the seized commodity in her favour. The petitioner’s grievance is that her application dated.19-02-2007 has not yet been considered by the 2^nd respondent.

In the aforesaid circumstances, after hearing the learned Government Pleader for Civil Supplies also the writ petition is disposed of at the stage of admission directing the 2^nd respondent to expeditiously and in any event within a period of thirty (30) days from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order, consider the representation of the petitioner and pass a reasoned order and communicate the same to the petitioner, within the aforesaid date. There shall be no order as to costs.
