ORAL ORDER:
By the order dated 30-9-2006 (impugned herein), the 1st respondent exercising power under the LIC of India (Agents) Rules, 1972 (for short ‘the Rules’) terminated the petitioner’s agency (Agent Code No.829680); imposed forfeiture of renewal commission; disqualified the petitioner from soliciting or procuring new Life Insurance Business on behalf of LIC of India; and it is alleged that they have also issued notice for recovery of the Housing loan.
As against the order dated 30-9-2006, the petitioner has a statutory appellate remedy under Regulation 20 of the Rules. In view of the availability of an alternative remedy, this court is not inclined to adjudicate upon the dispute/grievance presented in this writ petition.
The writ petition is accordingly dismissed relegating the petitioner to pursue the appellate remedy. There shall be no order as to costs.
