Petition under Article 226 of the constitution of India praying that in the circumstances stated in the Affidavit filed herein the High Court will be pleased to issue a writ, order or direction more particularly one in the nature of Writ of Mandamus declaring the action of the respondents in not providing to the Petitioner in M.A. Education ( Social Studies Segment) pursuant to the Petitioner's rank Andhra University Common Entrance Test-2004, who however allotted seats to other candidates for admission, who got lesser rank than that of the Petitioner as illegal and declaring the action of the Respondents in not considering the case of the Petitioner for allotment of a seat in M.A. Education ( Social Studies Segment) under SC-B (Women) reservation quota as illegal and arbitrary and it is further consequently prayed to direct the Respondent to forthwith allot a seat to the Petitioner in M.A. Education ( Social Studies Segment) .

Without going into the merits of the contentions raised on both sides, since it

is the contention of the respondents that there are two seats vacant and that the case

of the petitioner would be considered for one of those seats, if she applies for those seats, and can appear for the examination, subject to her fulfilling the attendance requirement as per regulations, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to consider the case of the petitioner for a seat in M.A. Education (Social Science) and permit her to appear for the examination next year, if she fulfills

the requirement of attendance etc. as per the regulations. No costs.
