Heard learned counsel for the parties.

Learned counsel for the parties are in agreement that the controversy involved in the present cases is squarely covered by a judgment rendered by this Court in S.B. Civil Writ Petition No. 13349/2022 (Hari Ram vs. Union of India & Ors.) , decided on 08.02.2024 . The operative part of the said judgment reads as under :-

“In view of the submissions made, the present writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents No.1 & 2 to decide the pending claim case of the petitioner for grant of compensation for the damages of Kharif Crop for the year 2019 at the earliest preferably within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order, strictly in accordance with law.

Needless to say that the documents supplied by the petitioner and the bank for correcting the clerical mistake committed by the bank shall be taken into account by the Committee for deciding the claim case of the petitioner”.

Accordingly, the writ petitions are disposed of in terms of the judgment as has been passed in the case of Hari Ram (supra) .

The respondents shall take a decision in view of the decision rendered by this Court in Hari Ram’s case (supra) .
