The petitioner has approached this Court with a grievance that suspension of similarly situated employee, namely, Net Ram Jhakhar, who was also facing the same charges has been revoked, but similar treatment has not been given to the petitioner.

Mr. Baltej Singh Sandhu, learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner will be satisfied if the respondents are directed to consider petitioner’s representation dated 26.10.2023 in accordance with law.

In view of the aforesaid, the present writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the petitioner to file a fresh representation along with a photocopy of the earlier representation dated 26.10.2023 and a certified copy of the order instant within a period of two weeks.

In case, a representation is so addressed within the aforesaid period, the competent authority of respondents shall consider and decide the same in accordance with law as early as possible, preferably within a period of four weeks.

It is made clear that aforesaid direction to decide the representation has been issued only with a view to ensure expeditious redressal of petitioner’s grievance. The same may not be construed to be an order to decide the representation in a particular manner.

The stay application also stands disposed of accordingly.
