Petitioners are major and present in person. They have duly been identified by their counsel.

This criminal writ petition has been filed by petitioners seeking protection from the private respondent Nos. 4 to 10 as they are apprehending danger to their life and liberty at the hands of private respondents.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that petitioners are mature enough to take decision of their life. He submits that petitioner No.1 is married to respondent No.4 and from their wedlock, she gave birth to two children. He submits that respondent No.4 is an alcoholic and petitioner No.1 was maltreated by him. In these circumstances, petitioner No.1 had no option but to leave the house of respondent No.4. Petitioner No.1 approached her father but he also refused to maintain her. Under these circumstances petitioner No.1 started residing with petitioner No.2 along with her children. He submits that in this regard, they have also executed a live-in-relationship agreement on 27.12.2023. Counsel further submits that petitioners are receiving continuous threats from the private respondents, so they prayed for protection.

Despite information, no one has put in appearance on behalf of respondent Nos.4 to 10.

In view of the above factual averments, petitioners are directed to file appropriate application seeking protection before

respondent no.3- Station House Officer, Police Station Virat Nagar, District Kotputli-Behror (Raj.) and respondent no.3 is directed to provide protection to the petitioners, if any application is filed before him and he would ensure that no harm is caused to the petitioners.

The criminal writ petition is, accordingly, disposed of.

Stay application(s), if any, shall also disposed of.

It is made clear that this order shall not prejudice/affect any other legal proceedings initiated between the parties.
