Instant petition has been filed by the petitioners with the following prayer:-

“It is, therefore humbly prayed that Your Lordships will be pleased to accept this writ petition and will issue:-

i) An appropriate writ order or direction cancelling the Nurse Grade-II Competitive Examination-2010 held on 10-10-2010 by the respondent No.1.

ii) An appropriate writ order or direction directing the respondents to conduct the Nurse Grade-II Competitive Examination-2010 afresh and earlier examination held on 10-10-2010 be also declared cancelled.

iii) An appropriate writ order or direction directing the respondents not to give any appointment to any candidate who appeared in the Nurse Grade-II Competitive Examination-2010 held on 10-102010;

iv) Cost of the writ petition be also awarded. v) Any other appropriate order or direction which this Hon'ble Court deems fit and proper in favour of the petitioners may kindly be passed.”

Contents of the writ petition indicates that by way of filing this petition, the petitioners are seeking directions for cancelling the entire selection process of Nurse Grade-II Competitive Examination conducted on 10.10.2010.

At the outset, counsel for the respondents apprised this Court that the entire selection process arising out of the advertisement in question has been completed long back and all selected candidates are already appointed and no posts are lying vacant. Counsel submits that under these circumstances, the petitioners are not entitled to get any relief at this belated stage.

Considering the submissions made by counsel for the respondents and looking to the fact that the entire selection process arising out of the advertisement in question has been completed long back and all advertised posts have been filled and now no posts are lying vacant. Hence, at this belated stage no relief can be granted to the petitioners.

Accordingly, the instant petition stands dismissed.

Stay application and all application(s) (pending, if any) also stand dismissed.
