Inviting attention of this Court towards the order dated 22.02.2023 (Annexure-CR/1), first pension bill dated 27.02.2023 (Annexure-CR/2) & the certificate dated 27.02.2023 (AnnexureCR/3), learned counsel for the respondents would submit that in compliance of direction of this Court dated 10.10.2017, the petitioner, who was already extended the benefits barring the amount of interest, the same has been paid to him.

None for the petitioner even in the second round. None appeared on his behalf even on last two dates also, i.e., 10.03.2023 & 28.02.2023.

This Court has, vide order dated 10.10.2017, directed the respondents to revise the petitioner’s pay and salary by counting entire period of service from 1967 for the purpose of grant of selection scales on completion of 9, 18 & 27 years of service with a further direction to revise pension and other retiral benefits and to release the arrears alongwith interest @ 9% per annum. From perusal of the material on record including the documents appended with the compliance report, it is apparent that the petitioner has been paid all his dues with interest.

Since, there has been substantial compliance of the order dated 10.10.2017, this contempt petition is dismissed.

The letter dated 937/2020 stands disposed of accordingly.
