The present writ petition has been preferred by the petitioner praying for a direction to the respondents to promote him on the post of Sub-Inspector after opening the recommendations made by the Selection Committee in the case of the petitioner, which have been kept in a sealed cover.
Heard learned counsel for the petitioner.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that although, there is a positive communication made by the Inspector General, Headquarter, Rajasthan, Jaipur vide its Letter dated 05/07.03.2018 (Annx.12) to consider the case of the petitioner in light of the circular issued by the State Government dated 04.06.2008 but the case of the petitioner has not been considered so far. He further submits that the petitioner has submitted the

detailed representation before the competent authority on 26.07.2018 but till date, no decision has been taken on the representation submitted by him.
In the circumstances, this Court deems it appropriate to direct the respondents to consider and decide the case of the petitioner for promotion to the post of Sub-Inspector against the vacancies of the year 2011-12 within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order strictly within the parameters of law.
The writ petition stands disposed of with the above observations.
