Petitioner had obstructed the public servant.
In the present case, General Manager of the Roadways Depot, who was performing his official duties was assaulted in order to deter him from discharging his duties as public servant, hence, petitioner committed offences punishable under Sections 332 and 353 I.P.C. The said offences to deter the public servant by causing hurt and assault are offences against the State and are

not private in nature. Hence, the impugned F.I.R. on the basis of compromise cannot be quashed.
Therefore, the present petition, being devoid of merits is, hereby, dismissed.
