Learned counsel submit that petitioners have been permitted to join the duties in pursuance to the order of appointment. It is during pendency of the writ petition thus, to that extent, writ petitions have become infructuous. The issue of their seniority vis a vis candidates lower in merit but given appointment earlier to the petitioners, still remains. The petitioners be given liberty to make a representation for it which would then be considered by the respondents appropriately and as per rules.
With the aforesaid, writ petitions stand disposed of with the liberty sought for. The stay applications also stand disposed of. If any other issue still remains, the petitioners would be at liberty to file a fresh writ petition.
