By way of this writ petition, the petitioner is seeking directions to the respondents not to reject his nomination form/ papers to be filed for election of Panchayati Raj Institution on the basis of erroneous birth certificate of his two daughters.
The elections of the Panchayati Raj Institution are already over. Thus, by efflux of time, the writ petition has rendered infructuous.
Moreover, if the nomination, if any, filed by the petitioner has been rejected illegally by the Returning Officer, it is always open for him to avail the remedy of raising election dispute available under the relevant statute.
Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed in
limine.
