Police Stati o n Lambi, was recorded on 19.02.2026. Learned Judicia l Magistrate I s t Class, Malout, has submitted his report recording satisfactio n that all the parties have entered into a v alid compromise without an y influence or coercion. The relevant part o f the report as under has bee n submitted:

“1. As per the statement of IO, four persons i.e. (1 ) Khushpreet Kaur wife o f Manpreet Singh resident o f Street No. 7, Ward-13, SAS Nagar, P.O Malout, (2 ) Gurjit Singh son of Jags ir Singh, (3) Manjit Singh son o f Jagsir Singh and (4) Par am jeet Kaur wife of Jagsir Sing h all residents of village D eon Khera, Sri Muktsar Sahi b were arrayed as accused i n the above mentioned FIR an d Ranjeet Singh son of J as want Singh resident of villag e Deon Khera, Sri Mukts ar Sahib, Punjab is the victim i n this FIR.

As per the statement of I O , none of accused was declare d proclaimed offender.

As per the version o f parties, their statements ar e bonafide and not result of any pressure or coercion etc i n any manner. The co m promise has been effecte d voluntarily, without u n due influence, any coercion , pressure, fraud or misr ep resentation and with the fre e will of the parties only. A s per the version of parties, th e compromise is genuine a n d valid.

As per the statement of IO, accused persons are no t involved in any other FI R except this FIR.

As per the statement of p a rties, compromise is complete.

Learned State counsel and lear n ed counsel for respondent No. 2 have not rai s ed any dispute regarding the f a ctum of compromise. Since th e matter has b e en amicably resolved, continu a tion of the criminal proceeding s would be an exercise in futility.

Following principles of law l aid down by the Full Benc h Judgment of this Court in “Kulwinder Singh and others Vs. State of Punjab and another” 2007(3) RCR (Criminal) 1052 and Hon’ble Supreme Court i n “Gian Singh Versus State of Punjab and others” (2012) 10 SCC 303 , th e petition is al l owed.

Consequently, FIR No.275 da t ed 30.09.2021, under Section s 323, 324,, 3 4 IPC and Section 3 of SC/ST Act, Police Station Lambi, Sr i Muktsar Sahib, Punjab, and all consequenti a l proceedings arising therefrom , are quashe d qua the petitioners, on th e basis of compromise date d 10.09.2025.
