Present contempt petition has b een filed alleging violation of order dat e d 24.5.2023 (Annexure P-1) pas s ed by a co-ordinate Bench of this Cour t in CWP-29425-2022 titled as “Harjinder Kaur vs. State of Punjab and others”, whereby the petition w a s disposed of with a direction to respon d ent No.5 therein “….to take call u pon the order dated 05.5.2022 as referre d to by the Management in the c o mmunication dated 18.8.2022 without a w aiting further orders of the Tri b unal and to take a final call within a p e riod of 08 weeks from the date o f receipt of certified copy of this order. Th e parties shall appear before the D PI on 07.6.2023 at 10.00 a.m. The resp o ndents-Management shall pay the arrears of subsistence allowanc e , in accordance with law till the m atter is finally decided by the Tribunal … ..” .

On 30.10.2025, learned couns e l for the petitioner had sought time to fil e rejoinder to the written statemen t filed on behalf of respondents No.1 and 2. Thereafter, on the next date i.e. the last date of hearing i.e. 10.2.2026 , learned proxy counsel appeare d on behalf of petitioner and sought adjournment.

The needful has not been d one till date. Further, none appears o n behalf of petitioner.

It is inter alia submitted by learned counsel for the responde n ts that in compliance of the Writ C ourt order dated 24.5.2023, the responde n ts were directed to make payment of the subsistence allowance to the petitio n er, which has been duly released t o the petitioner vide Annexure R-1/1 ann e xed with the Written Statement d a ted 08.10.2025 filed on behalf of respon d ents. It is submitted that there fo re nothing is due against the petitioner as on date.

In view of the submissions noted herein above made on behalf of learned counsel for the respond e nts, no further directions are required. Accordingly, the present contemp t petition stands disposed of .

Needless to say, if the peti t ioner is dissatisfied with the amounts r eleased to her, she would be at li b erty to challenge the same in accordance with law.
