The present petition has bee n filed under Article 226 of t h e Constitutio n of India for issuance of a writ i n the nature of mandamus directi n g the respon d ents to grant the family pensio n to the petitioner along with i t s arrears and interest @ 18% per annum a nd along with all consequenti a l benefits.

Learned counsel for responden t No.3, at the very outset, submi t s that husban d of the petitioner died in harn e ss 19.05.2010 and all admissib l e retiral dues including gratuity and leave e ncashment has been paid to t h e petitioner a n d other survivors of the deceas e d husband. the formalit i es family pension was granted t o the petitioner vide PPO No.27 2 8 along with arrears of pension to the tune of Rs.11,65,456/-. As such, t h e grievance r a ised by the petitioner has bee n substantially redressed and t h e present peti t ion has been rendered infructuous.
