The petition has been filed inter alia seeking a direction to the respondents to rectify the petitioner’s date of promotion as Principal as 31.05.2017 instead of 01.06.2017 in the promotion order dated 12.09.2017, and consider his objections dated 06.03.2023, Annexure P-23, to the tentative seniority list dated 22.02.2023, Annexure P-21, seeking correction of seniority on that basis.

Learned State counsel, appearing on advance notice, contends that the representation as well as the objections submitted by the petitioner will be decided prior to finalizing the seniority list.
