Pr a yer in the present petition is for issuance of necessary direction to re s pondent Nos.1 to 3 to protec t the life and liberty of the petitioner from the hands of private responde n t Nos.4 to 6 and their other companions.

Le a rned State counsel refers to the averments made in the status report dated 2 0 .11.2023 filed by way of af f idavit of Sh. Achhru Ram Sharma, PPS, D SP, Sub Division, Jalalabad o n behalf of respondent Nos.1 to 3, to submit t hat statement of husband of th e petitioner was recorded on 29.10.2023 (An n exure R-1/T) wherein he has st a ted as follows:

“Stated that I am resident of t h e above noted address and am doing the work of painter. I w a s married with Kirandeep Kaur daughter Gurdeep singh resid e nt of Lakhe Wali District Shri Muktsar Sahib about 14 years a go. After marriage, 02 children were born in our family, out o f which elder is daughter namely Aishmeet Kaur whose age is 10 y ears and younger then her is son Rehmat Singh whose age is 07 y e ars. About 15 days back, my wife Kirandeep kaur went away with our neighbourer Harpreet Singh son of Tarsem Singh resident of T inda wala and while leaving, she

took 04 tolas gold and Rs.480 0 0/- cash with her. Now she is moving applications against m y family leveling allegations of keeping the custody of children f o rcibly and giving beatings, which has no truth in it. Children bel o ngs to both of us and wife can come and meet them as and whe n she so desire. I and m family has never beaten her. I am ready to swear in this regard. I have go recorded statement, read over an d is correct.”

Le a rned State counsel further refe r s to the statement of brother of the petitione r recorded on 29.10.2023 (Ann e xure R-2/T) wherein he has endorsed and s e conded the above said statem e nt made by husband of the petitioner. Joi n t statement dated 29.10.2023 i t self (Annexure R-3/T) has been made by t he respectables of the village b eing the Sarpanch and other panches of the v illage where the petitioner resi d es, who have also attested to the correctness of the above said statement Annexure R-1/T made by husband of the p etitioner.

On the last date of hearing i.e. 30.05.2024, there was no representation o n behalf of the petitioner. E v en today, none appears on behalf of the pe t itioner. 5. In view of the submissions and s tatement made by learned State counsel w h ich are not disputed, no furthe r directions are required to be issued in the pr e sent case.
