Petitioners are working as Laboratory Assistants in the Department of Agriculture. They claim that vide order dated 23.12.2011, they have been granted lower `Revised Pay Scale' as compared to other similarly placed employees including Gram Sewaks, Constables, Clerks, Meenu 2017.01.10 16:53 I attest to the accuracy andPatwaris and Laboratory Attendants of Education Department etc. authenticity of this document chandigarh

The question whether petitioners are entitled to claim pay parity with the above categories of employees, has to be essentially examined by the authorities as it involves a policy decision. As the petitioners have raised such a claim vide representations dated 06.08.2016 (Annexure P4), we dispose of this writ petition, without expressing any views on merits, with a direction to respondent Nos.2 and 3 to look into the petitioners' claim and decide the same by way of a reasoned order preferably within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order.
