The land of the petitioner was acquired vide

notifications dated 7.5.2007 and 9.1.2008 issued under Sections 4
and 6 of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894, respectively. The Award
was announced on 14.7.2009.

 Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that

although the possession of the acquired land has been taken by

¶16

the respondents, but till date no compensation has been paid to

¶17

the petitioner nor the same has been deposited before the

¶18

competent Court and the amount of compensation is lying in the
Government treasury. The petitioner has also filed a

¶19

representation (Annexure P-4) before the respondents, but the

¶20

same has not been decided so far.

 After hearing learned counsel for the petitioner, we
dispose of this writ petition with a direction to respondent No.2

to decide the representation (Annexure P-4) filed by the
petitioner expeditiously, preferably, within a period of three
months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.
