The petitioners have filed this public interest
litigation seeking a direction to the official respondents to
take appropriate action against respondent No.7 for running a
tar-coal/bitumen factory which is causing pollution in the
residential areas and affecting the health of the residents of
nearby villages. The petitioners have also submitted
representations dated 18.2.2014, 2.6.2014 and 30.7.2014 which are
annexed as Annexures P/1, P/2 and P/3, respectively.
After hearing learned counsel for the petitioners, this
writ petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.5
to consider the representations of the petitioners and take
appropriate steps, if necessary.
