Gurpreet Singh Vs State of Punjab and Ors.

Counsel for the petitioner, after arguing for some time, states that the subsistence allowance from the date of his suspension till date has not been paid to the petitioner. He prays that liberty may be granted to the petitioner to file a representation for release of his subsistence allowance, which representation shall be submitted by him within a period of four weeks, which may be directed to be considered and decided by the Director Public Instructions (Secondary Education), Punjab within some specified time.

In the light of the statement made by the counsel for the petitioner, the present writ petition is disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to file a representation to the Director Public Instructions

(Secondary Education), Punjab within a period of four weeks for release of the subsistence allowance. If such a representation is made, the same shall be considered and decided within a period of four weeks of submission of such representation. The decision so taken be conveyed to the petitioner.
