This order shall dispose of two Criminal Misc.-M Nos. 275

of 2013 ( Amik Singh and others versus State of Punjab and others) and 1020 of 2013 ( Kulwant Singh versus State of Punjab and others ).

The petitioners seek quashing of FIR No. 49 dated 30.04.2011 under Sections 452/323/324/506/120-B IPC registered at Police Station Civil Lines, Bathinda at the instance of Manjit Kaur alleging that she alongwith Baljit Singh, respondent No. 3 had been assaulted by the petitioners in the above said two petitions. The matter has now been compromised. The parties were directed to appear before the trial Court and got their statements recorded. A report has been received to the effect that the parties have

voluntarily, without any pressure, threat or inducement, compromised the matter. The matter has been amicably resolved. The amount of ` 10,000/-, has also been received by the complainant, as disclosed by the complainant, who is present in the Court.

The present petitions are allowed. Following the law laid down by Full Bench of this Court in Kulwinder Singh and others versus State of Punjab and others reported as 2007 (3) RCR (Criminal) 1052, the aforesaid FIR and all criminal proceedings emanating therefrom are hereby quashed on the basis of compromise.
