The petitioner, on the basis of compromise, seek quashing of FIR No.211 dated 19.7.2009, under Sections 494, 323 & 506 IPC, Police Station, Surajkund, Faridabad, Haryana, registered at the instance of respondent No.2 Sukhwinder Kaur.
After issuing notice to the respondents, a direction was issued that the parties will appear before the trial Court and get their statements recorded regarding the matter having been compromised. Report of the trial Court, on the basis of statement of the complainant, has been received to the effect that the matter has been compromised voluntarily. Even otherwise, the complainant and the petitioner are present in the Court to confirm the factum of

compromise. The petition qua other co-accused of the petitioner stands already allowed vide order dated 31.1.2013.
On the basis of the report received after recording the statements and following the judgment in case Kulwinder Singh and others Vs. State of Punjab, 2007(3) RCR (Crl.), Page-1052, this Court is of the opinion that the matter has been amicably settled. No useful purpose will be served by keeping the proceedings pending.
The petition is allowed. The above said FIR and all the criminal proceedings emanating therefrom are hereby quashed on the basis of compromise.
